America Found was never meant to end with a book.
As I was writing America Found, I knew I wanted it to be more than a book.
I didn't make this journey simply to put a book with my name on the cover. I made it to share an extraordinary adventure—and, more importantly, to share the people I met and what they taught me along the way.
Most of all, I wanted to share a reason for hope.
For six years, I traveled across America meeting people from remarkably different backgrounds.
I sat at kitchen tables.
I shared meals.
I listened to stories.
Sometimes I simply stood beside someone and listened.
What stayed with me wasn't the noise of our differences.
It was how much of the human experience we still share.
The desire to be heard.
To be respected.
To live in peace.
To belong.
Conversations is the next chapter of that journey.
It is a growing, multi-platform effort to create places where people can step away from the noise, sit with one another, and listen.
Not to convince.
Not to win.
Not to change someone's mind.
Simply to understand.
Because something happens when we stop talking at one another and begin talking with one another.
The conversation continues.
