I Went Looking for a Divided America.

In 2015, I set out with a simple question:

Are Americans really as divided as we are led to believe?

I didn't know the answer.

So I went looking.

For six years, I traveled more than 350,000 miles across America, meeting people, listening to their stories, and photographing the places and lives I encountered along the way.

I wasn't looking for an answer I could prove.

I was looking for people.

And what happened along the way changed the question.

America Found is the story of that journey.

A book.
A collection of photographs and stories.
And a conversation that continues.
